LOCAL PEOPLE are being invited to find out about the city’s community safety priorities at an open meeting on
October 13th between 2pm & 4pm.
Wolverhampton Civic Centre (Committee Room 3) will play host to the meeting that will update Wolverhampton residents on how City priorities are being met. Local people will also get the chance to have their say about next year’s priorities with the help of an electronic voting system.
Cllr Jonathan Yardley, Wolverhampton Council’s Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Community Safety will be chairing the event. Cllr Yardley said, “Hot topics for the afternoon could include environmental nuisance, substance misuse licensing and local policing, all things that have a big impact on our quality of life. Everyone has strong views on crime so this is a great opportunity for anyone who lives in Wolverhampton to express how they feel to those responsible for law and order in the City.”
Also on the agenda is a presentation on ‘My Neighbourhood’ a groundbreaking website that gives local people real information about crime and safety where they live. Find out more by visiting myneighbourhood.info
Everyone who attends the joint Police Authority and Safer Wolverhampton Partnership event will be able to ask questions and raise concerns about things that are important to them. They will also get the chance to feed back good news about the things that have improved their feelings of
safety and wellbeing.
This is the fourth and final meeting of this type to take place this year so make sure that you’re part of the discussion!
